Shift Leader
The Boss Kitchen & Bar

229 Banff Ave, Banff, Alberta

Wage: $23.00 per hour plus gratuities

Position: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Language of work: English

The Boss Kitchen & Bar is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to support our front-of-house team. The successful candidate will supervise daily service, maintain high guest-service standards, and help ensure each shift operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
Assign duties and establish priorities during each shift.
Support opening and closing procedures.
Ensure service, cleanliness, and food-safety standards are followed.
Train new employees in job duties, workplace procedures, and company policies.
Monitor staff performance and provide coaching when required.
Assist with shift scheduling and arrange coverage when necessary.
Communicate with the kitchen to maintain service flow and manage bill times.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
Verify cashouts, payments, and end-of-shift reports.
Monitor supplies and report inventory or maintenance needs to management.
Provide hands-on service support during busy periods.
Report operational, staffing, and safety concerns to management.
Qualifications
At least one year of restaurant or hospitality experience is required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain composed and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
ProServe certification is required or must be obtained before beginning work.
Compensation
Guaranteed wage of $23.00 per hour
