This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of the Canadian Rockies while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. As a Rental Attendant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests are properly fitted with safe, comfortable equipment so they can have the best possible experience on the mountain. Key Responsibilities Fit guests with appropriate ski and snowboard equipment (boots, skis, snowboards, helmets, poles) Adjust bindings in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines Educate guests on proper equipment use and basic care Process rental transactions using POS systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental shop Inspect returned equipment for damage and ensure proper storage Assist with tuning, light maintenance, and equipment preparation as required Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service at all times Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth guest flow Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Skiing or snowboarding experience is an asset Previous retail, rental, or customer service experience is an asset Ability to learn equipment fitting and binding adjustment procedures Willingness to follow company policies, wear uniform, and maintain grooming standards Work Conditions & Physical Requirements Indoor position with periods of outdoor work helping with snow removal, most time spent on your feet Ability to lift and carry skis, snowboards, and rental equipment (up to 50 lbs) Shift work, including weekends and holidays, is required during peak season Busy environment during holidays and high-traffic periods Perks & Benefits Full season pass for Mount Norquay Access to reciprocal passes at many other ski resorts Discounted food, retail, and rentals across the resort Limited staff accommodation available Free Via Ferrata tours (summer) and E-bike day rentals Work in a close-knit, supportive, and iconic mountain resort environment Inclusion Statement Mount Norquay Ski Resort is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
