Various lengths – this competition will be used to staff multiple opportunities in English & bilingual positions to start spring/summer 2026.
$27.47 to $29.85 per hour (and additional 4% supervisory differential for lead hand positions (currently under review).)

Duties
This competition will be used to fill positions at the following locations:

Campgrounds: Visitor service, revenue collection and daily cleaning/maintenance at campgrounds & day use areas to enhance the visitor’s experience. This includes but is not limited to greeting visitors and providing orientation, information and direction; confirming reservations; selling of campsites; daily cleaning of campground washroom and other facilities, day use area washrooms/pit privies, campsite cleaning/maintenance, grounds cleaning and litter picking and emptying of trash and recycling receptacles.

Visitor Services Lead Hand: Takes the lead as a member of a work crew; communicates what has to be accomplished; identifies tools and material to be used; sets the work pace; and explains work to new crew members.

In all positions, facility cleaning and maintenance is required.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willing and able to work shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Willing and able to travel to various sites and work outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions
Willing and able to perform tasks such as: lifting heavy boxes, picking litter, custodial tasks and site maintenance
Willing and able to perform a variety of custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing walls and windows, cleaning sinks, toilets and showers, plunging toilets, collecting garbage etc.
Willing and able to be exposed to noxious odours such as car fumes, dust, garbage, cleaning products and primitive facilities
Willing and able to conduct repetitive tasks
Willing and able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stretch and work from ladders or step stools
Willing and able to demonstrate tasks to others
Conditions of employment
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Security Screening: obtain and maintain a Reliability status (must be attained prior to appointment)
Willing and able to wear identifier clothing and personal safety equipment
Possession and maintenance of a valid Alberta class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
