Community Services Town of Banff Banff, AB Casual Job details Job type Casual Location Banff, AB Full job description Casual - Permanent Contributing to the health and well-being of children, youth, and adults, you “Take Care of Banff” by delivering programs, events and drop-in activities. Your previous experience has prepared you to help develop and maintain programs with a focus on lesson plans that ensure engaging, fun, and safe activities appropriate to participants that represent a variety of ages, stages and abilities. This role is ideal for a qualified leader seeking opportunities to fill in program schedules on a casual or call-in basis. The position’s accountabilities are: Working with participants, partners, volunteers, parents, and colleagues through a variety of communication methods and in a variety of settings; Exceptional interaction and communication skills, achieving understanding of children and youth, to parents and adults, to co-workers and external partners; Blending the outcomes of physical literacy, life skill-building and social and nature connection with diligent tracking and report requirements; Engaging residents to participate in community recreation programs by building trust, knowledge and keen anticipation and excitement in the experience of recreation; Ideally, you have completed a post-secondary program in recreation, social work, childhood studies, education, physical education and/or leadership. A combination of education with at least one hundred hours of work experience with children and youth, demonstrating the responsibilities listed above, will be considered. You will be required to confirm current First Aid certification and an RCMP criminal background check with vulnerable sector clearance.
