What’s the job:

Travelers Capital Corp. is seeking an experienced and driven capital raising professional to join our team and spearhead fundraising efforts for our private debt fund and to play a key role in growing TCC’s alternative lending platform.

In this role, the Director, Capital & Investor Relations will use expert communication skills and a keen sense of initiative to spot fund raising opportunities, develop relationships with potential partners, raise capital, and manage fund raising campaigns while moving Travelers Capital Corp. closer to its financial goals.

What you’ll be doing:

Develop and execute a comprehensive capital raising strategy to attract new investors to Travelers Capital Corp and/or its Private Credit Fund (the “Fund”)
Identify, engage, and build relationships with potential investors including institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, and high net worth individuals
Conduct meetings, presentations, and roadshows to market the fund and its investment strategy
Work closely with the investment team to prepare pitch materials, marketing collateral, and due diligence materials
Initiate calls to prospective investors and schedule in-person meetings with such prospects to explain TCC’s Fund(s), overall investment opportunities, and investment strategy. Solicit follow up meetings with prospective investors with TCC’s senior management, as applicable.
Work closely with the Fund’s EMD as the Designated Representative to manage the entire investor onboarding process from initial outreach, KYC / AML, suitability, subscription, and capital call.
Work with external vendors and partners to establish wider distribution channel of the Fund, including maintenance of the Fundserv code and manage the respective onboarding protocol
Manage the entire investor onboarding process from initial outreach through closing
Maintain continuous engagement with existing investors through ongoing communications and reporting
Attend industry conferences and networking events to raise awareness and generate investor leads
Stay up to date on market trends, regulations, and competitor activities impacting fund raising
What you bring:

Strong sense of integrity, professionalism and a results-oriented attitude to continually improve processes and systems, enhance efficiency, and contribute to overall organizational success
5+ years of direct capital raising experience, preferably within private debt, credit funds, mortgage funds, or alternative investments
Proven track record of successfully raising capital from institutional and individual investors
Existing network of investor relationships, particularly institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, and high net worth individuals who are actively investing in the alternative investment space
Strong understanding of private debt investment strategies, portfolio construction, and risk management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex investment concepts
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and drive to achieve aggressive fundraising targets
Willingness to travel frequently to meet with prospective investors
Dealing Representative registration or ability to become register as a Dealing Representative
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree such as MBA preferred
