Green Bottle Depot -Banff is seeking a permanent, long-term manager!

Company Overview:

Previous bottle depot experience is not a requirement. We will provide bottle depot and managerial training to interested applicants. The paid training period would be approximately 8 months. In addition, the manager will continue to be supported by our Regional Manager on an ongoing basis.

Position Overview:

The manager will be responsible for ensuring that the bottle depot is running efficiently and effectively while adhering to BCMB, ABCRC & BDL standards and serving customers in a timely manner.

While overseeing the daily operations of the bottle depot, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

handling employee relations & training
ensuring accurate counts of recycled containers
organizing shipments & bottle drives
scheduling commercial pickups
performing basic building & machinery maintenance
submitting daily paperwork to our Edmonton-based head office
good physical condition
mechanically inclined
basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets) are mandatory, but additional IT skills would be a significant asset
good communication & organizational skills
ability to supervise, delegate, and schedule 7 - 10 employees
forklift certification is an asset
We are offering remuneration of $20 - $23/hour, based on qualifications, paid bi-weekly, along with a comprehensive benefits plan which includes life, AD&D, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
