We are seeking individuals who have the determination to train, respond and represent the Banff Fire Department and the Town of Banff in the field and in the community.

Our department has an outstanding reputation of “Taking Care of Banff” by ensuring exceptional training and quick and attentive emergency response of its Firefighters. As members of the community, we give back by providing residents and visitors with education opportunities, charitable donations and a wide range of fire preparedness and prevention events and activities.

If you are ready to learn, to join an experienced team of responders and to contribute even more to our community this is an opportunity for you. You have well-developed personal health habits that support physical and mental resilience critical to our members and family.

Applicants must demonstrate the following:

Live and work in Banff (for at least one year, prior to date of application)
Letter of support from your current employer
Completion of grade 12 (or equivalent)
Commit to weekly training with a minimum annual attendance record of 70%
Provide a valid class 5 Alberta drivers licence and clear driver’s abstract
RCMP Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector clearance
Have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate
Be able to meet the physical demands
