What can you expect?
Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by ensuring all dishes, glassware, and cutlery are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. In addition to handling kitchenware, they assist in the kitchen and contribute to maintaining an organized, clean kitchen environment. Their role is vital in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.
This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:
Following policies and Sunshine standards as well as adhere to workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations.
Conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary.
Fill in logs to ensure proper chemical levels with the equipment.
Load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away.
Maintain food handling and sanitation standards; understand and implement Sunshines Health & Safety Standards
Clean the fridge, freezer and other kitchen equipment as directed by the Chef Manager or Sous Chef
Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen.
Daily cleaning of the screens and weekly full empty of the grease trap to help maintain the equipment.
Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
And you have:
Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
1-2 years’ experience in a food service establishment
Self-motivator with a positive attitude
Ability to perform manual labour, heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
Excellent time management and teamwork skills
Safety and WHMIS training are an asset.
Knowledge of basic safety requirements and food handling safety standards
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift (10 kg), pull and push heavy loads and be exposed to extreme temperatures.
Additional Considerations
Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This is primarily an indoor position, but is in a remote, alpine environment and employees must wear appropriate footwear and layers for the conditions. Some uniform pieces are provided.
This position at times works alone, handles cash, and personal information.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
