Job Description

For guests seeking rejuvenation, inspiration and personalized attention, Fairmont Banff Springs offers a wide selection of luxurious Spa experiences. Your care and professionalism as a Registered Massage Therapist shows our guests that they are unique and valued – and you will take pride in knowing that your competencies help them feel their very best.

Compensation can reflect $70+ per hour while massage services are being performed.

Availability Requirement:

Part-Time - Must be able to commit to 18-22 hours per week and weekends/holidays would be required.

Casual – Hours are based on business levels, required to give 1-2 days of 8 hours commitment per week.

Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Massage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Perform all 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 minute massage and body treatments, as certified/trained to do.
Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to needs and expectations.
Maintain clean and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment in safe working order.
Maintain an ample supply of massage oils, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the massage work area
Maintain current professional licenses, CPR, First Aid.
Participate in in-house training opportunities in our professional product lines and extend homecare including retail suggestions to our clientele

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited 2200-hour massage program
Registered within province of Alberta prior to beginning employment
Previous experience in a Spa preferred
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Constant standing/walking throughout shift and must be able to lift and carry 20+ lbs
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Lifting -Under 20lbs 10% of work time.
Pushing -35lbs pressure through wrists 80% of work time.
Motions -Bending, standing, reaching, and working with hands, arms, and fingers continuously throughout workday.
Work Environment -Indoors, with very limited exposure to sunlight.
