Full job description
Mount Norquay is hiring full-time Trail Crew members. This position will starts ASAP. If you want to work outside in Banff National Park with an amazing crew in a fun, ski resort environment, this could be the employment you are looking for!

Your main responsibilities in this role include:

– Brush cutting/trimming of ski runs with STIHL clearing saws

– Removing debris, deadfall and rocks from ski runs

– FireSmart areas around the resort

– General clean up ahead of winter

– Assisting with new projects and upgrades to infrastructure (Labor)

– Operation of ATV’s, snowmobiles, chain saws, brush saws and various other tools.

– This role can be physically demanding and you may be required to move logs, dig and perform a range of other duties.

All training will be provided. For the right candidate, this position will turn into a snowmaking position when temperatures allow. Preference will be given to candidates with First Aid and Chainsaw certifications. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, loves working outside, and is looking for an opportunity to develop a skillset. In addition, for the right candidate, the opportunity to join our dedicated maintenance team when the snowmaking season is complete.

Requirements:

Willingness to work outside for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
Previous experience operating a chainsaw (preferred)
Previous experience operating ATV’s and snowmobiles (preferred)
Ability to lift 50lbs and be on your feet all day
Previous trail maintenance experience is an asset – although full training is provided
Flexible schedule to cover a range of shifts (Snowmaking)
Excellent team working skills
Ability to work on steep slopes and at heights
Technical mindset (preferred)
Alberta Driver’s license (preferred)
