Given that we specialize in boutique, adventurous & "once in a lifetime" small group & private tour experiences for guests who are looking to escape the ordinary in Canada, our enthusiastic & knowledgable guides are the backbone of our company ethos, and only the most dedicated of people need apply.

The successful applicant will be vibrant, articulate, reliable and most of all enthusiastic about The Rockies and its wealth of incredible activities on offer!

Attention to the safety and the comfort of our guests, as well as delivering memorable moments and an incredible travel experience are paramount and a key responsibility of this role.

Radventures are currently hiring full time, part time & casual contractguides for Winter 22/23, with loads of opportunities on offer for 2023 and beyond.

This position exists for a motivated leader to guide our international and domestic guests on tours throughout Banff, Jasper, Yoho & Kootenay National Parks plus more this winter. Opportunities also exist to lead multi-day tours across various locations in Western Canada as well as be a part of our growing campervan rental operations in Calgary.

A background in group management and the desire for a long term future in the tourism industry are essential. Key responsibilities:

- Deliver safe, exciting, knowledgeable & engaging tours to guests

- Constantly demonstrate safe and professional driving & guiding skills

- Assume responsibility for the well-being and behaviour of tour groups

- Prepare vehicles for tours or rental

- Pick-up/drop-off guests at various locations in Alberta & BC

- Assist the Radventures team in other daily duties when necessary at locations in Exshaw, Canmore & Calgary.

Required traits, skills & qualifications:

- Legal right to reside & work in Canada

- Valid Class IV Alberta Driver's License (or ability to obtain) & clean driving record

- Fluency in English

- Understanding that safety and minimizing risk is our #1 priority – fun is a close 2nd

- Outgoing personality and a passion for delivering amazing experiences to adventurous travellers

- Excellent risk management skills

- Experience in tour guiding or group management

- Valid CPR/First Aid (Wilderness First Aid preferred)

- Ability to work to a schedule, under pressure and make sound decisions when flexibility is required

- Exceptional problem solving skills, reliability and punctuality

Desired traits, skills & qualifications:

- Outdoor adventure activity experience (hiking, paddling, skiing/snowboarding)

- Wilderness First Aid (40 hours)
