About Discover Banff Tours

Discover Banff Tours is a Canadian Rockies sightseeing and adventure tour company. Our Product Services team also supports Banff Trail Riders, Chinook Rafting, Landsea Tours, Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, and affiliated tourism brands.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Product Services Manager, the Sales Coordinator represents our brands, generates leads, builds partnerships, and brings in group and corporate business through outreach, partner visits, trade shows, FAM trips, and product knowledge sessions.

You’ll balance this outward-facing work with focused office time to complete sales reports, analyze data, maintain partner records, and assist with contracting. The role requires confidence with people and numbers, with accountability for sales results and timely, accurate administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and New Business

Generate leads through cold calls, targeted emails, networking, and in-person outreach to prospective partners, corporate clients, and group and event organizers.
Develop partnerships and pursue group bookings, corporate outings, and new sales opportunities.
Qualify leads, coordinate suitable options and approved quotes internally, and follow up through to booking.

Partner Relationships and Brand Representation

Build and maintain hotel, concierge, and wholesale relationships through regular visits and check-ins; share product updates and gather sales feedback.
Coordinate familiarization (FAM) trips, partner events, and meet-and-greets.
Attend and represent our brands at trade shows, coordinating participation, meeting prospective partners, and following up on leads.

Product Knowledge and Training

Coordinate and deliver engaging product knowledge sessions for in-resort hotels and major wholesale clients.
Adapt presentations to each audience, represent each brand accurately, and provide follow-up answers and approved materials.

Contracting and Administration

Assist with contracting, including sending approved rates and agreements, following up on acknowledgements, and tracking completion.
File agreements, maintain accurate partner records, support contracted rate setup, and flag discrepancies for review.

Reporting and Accountability

Track outreach, leads, sales opportunities, bookings, and revenue; maintain a sales pipeline with clear next steps and report against agreed goals.
Analyze booking data and partner feedback to identify trends and guide outreach and growth recommendations.
Independently balance outreach, training, contracting, and backend support; meet deadlines, follow through on commitments, and raise issues early.

What We’re Looking For

Outgoing, approachable, and confident meeting new people, presenting, and stepping into unfamiliar situations.
Self-motivated and sales-focused, with the initiative to pursue new opportunities.
Organized and dependable, with strong time management and attention to detail.
Comfortable interpreting data and working with spreadsheets and reports.
A clear communicator who works independently and collaborates effectively across teams and brands.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is an asset; you don’t need to have it all:

Tourism, hospitality, sales, lead generation, hotel or wholesale partnerships, or group and corporate business development.
Trade shows, partner events, presentations, or product training.
Contracting administration, spreadsheets, sales reporting, reservation platforms, or contact and sales tracking tools.

What We Offer

Monthly staff events and a supportive team environment
Staff accommodation available
Extended health, dental & life insurance
RRSP matching after 3 months
Vacation pay
Discounts on local tours and activities
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
