Shift Leader – The Boss (Banff, AB)
The Boss is a casual fine dining restaurant in the heart of Banff, offering a menu that boasts great food sourced locally from within Canada, from elevated burgers and shareables to creative cocktails and seasonal specialties. We take pride in great food, friendly service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.


The role would begin training as soon as possible, with hours increasing during the Holiday period & Summer Season. Candidates brought on board would be required to go through a training course, and display knowledge of our Brand, Food, and Beverages post training.


The Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Shift Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and leads by example to ensure smooth daily operations.


Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure service standards, food & beverage standards, and brand identity are met.
Support our Server, Host, and Expo team demonstrated through understanding and execution of the applicable routines.
Assist with opening or closing duties, including some shifts as the Manager on floor, or support leader; working closely with the Restaurant Manager or General Manager.
Communicate effectively between front and back of house
Maintain a positive, professional, and guest-focused atmosphere, including conversing with tables, quality checking guests, and resolving any guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
Oversee completion of Side Duties and Allocation of server sections.
Maintain labor costs through following our schedule and proforma, and shift times.
Qualifications:

Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality (restaurant experience preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
A genuine passion for hospitality and teamwork
Experience with OpenTable
Worked with Micros Symphony or similar point of sales systems
