The Boss, a vibrant and modern restaurant in the heart of Banff, is looking for an experienced and motivated Dinner Manager to lead our evening service. We’re known for our welcoming atmosphere, quality-driven menu, and outstanding guest experience, and we’re looking for someone who shares that same passion for hospitality and leadership.


As Dinner Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing front-of-house operations, supporting and mentoring staff, and ensuring our guests enjoy memorable evenings from start to finish. We are looking for a driven individual who understands and can execute the following:

Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure a high standard of Food, Beverage, and Service consistent with The Boss Standards
Follow routines set in place by the General Manager
Maintain cleanliness, ambience, and overall presentation of the restaurant through daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines.
Provide coaching, support, and performance evaluations to promote team development and enforce standards.
Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Mitigate risk of guest leaving with an unsatisfactory experience.
Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality. This is expected through seating tables, quality checking tables, running food & drink, and heavy floor presence.
Control labor and operational costs

Candidates must ideally meet the following criteria:

Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting (preferably in full-service or upscale casual dining).
OpenTable experience (1+ years)
Experience with Micros Symphony or other Micros products
Previous Server & Bartender Experience (3+ years)
Have valid Proserv
Available Nights, Holidays, and Long Weekends
Understanding of restaurant operations, including floor management, service standards, opening/closing procedures, and cash handling.
Excellent communication and guest service abilities — professional, approachable, and calm under pressure.
Knowledge of Beer, Wine, and Cocktails is an asset
Commitment to the position of 2+ years minimum

Compensation

Initial Salary of 50,000 yearly, paid out Bi-Weekly, with room to grow and develop
Monthly Gratuity based on sales and hours worked
3 Weeks paid vacation
Food and Drink Budget
Benefits Package, Paid 50/50 between the Restaurant and Partner

We are looking to bring on a candidate before the end of October, training alongside our Restaurant Manager will begin immediately. The Candidate will be fully trained to our Service Standard and Bar. The training will be 5 days a week during nights, and the Candidate will be fully set up in the role before the Holiday Season (1.5 Months) of training.
