Description:
This person is an integral part of the team, operating in a hybrid role between associate and keyholder. This role is based predominantly out of the hotel store demonstrating exceptional time management, and sales skills on the retail floor. They are responsible facilitating the benefits of SNOW and providing outstanding guest experience in the store. This role not only sells but is also passionate to create excitement for guests and driving engagement in other team members. They will assist the Assistant Retail Supervisor by taking the lead over all aspects of store standards, leverage key performance indicators and metrics to prioritize responsibilities while adapting to day-to-day business adjustments and challenges.

The secondary responsibilities are to manage the restocking of all merchandise in the hotel retail location daily and manage the organizational standards of the store. They will assist the Inventory Specialists and Visual Merchandiser with inventory, merchandising standards, and cleanliness of the store.

Job Functions:
Passionately leads and educates on our product, community, and culture on the retail floor
Takes a stand as an advocate for Banff Sunshine Village’ values and guest experience
Ensure brand image is consistent in store location
Maintaining store standards: merchandising, restocking, completing any delegated tasks prior to ending their shift
Responsible for opening and closing the Monarch Sports location; including cash deposits
Unlocking and disarming, locking and arming store location
Along with any other tasks/duties deemed suitable that are required by the Assistant Store Director, Visual Merchandiser, Inventory Specialists, and Store Director.

Experience/Requirements:
Have a passion for skiing and or snowboarding.
Minimum one year’s work experience in retail / keyholding, or an equivalent management role.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Detail oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.
Positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm for Sunshine Village, Snowsports and people.
The role should be prepared to work weekends and holidays.
This role will require you to work split shifts into the evenings with a guaranteed break for skiing/snowboarding in the day.
The Hybrid Associate will be required to live on-hill.
Must maintain professional conduct when in uniform and when acting as a company representative.
Additional Considerations:
Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This is primarily an indoor position, but is in a remote, alpine environment and employees must wear appropriate footwear and layers for the conditions. Some uniform pieces are provided.
This position at times works alone, handles cash, and personal information.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
