Job Description

Join the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course team and help create memorable experiences for our guests in the stunning backdrop of Banff's natural beauty. As a member of our Golf Operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable golfing experience.

Open Positions:

Golf Retail Attendant
Guest Services Attendant
Ambassador
Cart/Range Attendant
Tournament Coordinator
Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience, area of studies and the Golf Course operational requirements. Leadership opportunities may be discussed during the interview based on skills and qualifications.

Preference will be given to those that are able to commit for the full season, May-October 15th.

Starting Rate: $18.20 per hour - $19.24 per hour, this is dependent on the position.

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years.

What you will be doing:

Reporting structure is dependent on the position, such as the Golf Operations Assistant Manager, Golf Group & Revenue Manager or Golf Operations Manager.

Each position has specific job duties and qualifications that will be discussed with successful applicants during the interview process.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Able to work flexible hours (early morning, evening and occasional split shifts)
Ability to deal with high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well within both a team setting and an independent setting with limited supervision
Leadership experience would be considered an asset
Interest in becoming or have already entered the CPGA Apprentice or Candidate program
Proficient in computer skills (reservation and POS systems)
Knowledge of the game of golf and its principles surrounding etiquette.
Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions
Highly motivated and guest driven with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate needs

Solutions-orientated, strong interpersonal skills and problem solving techniques
Retail Opportuniteis- Previous retail and/or merchandising experience is an asset
