PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Lead Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests while overseeing and guiding the serving team to ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization in the dining outlets. The Lead Server will work closely with the team to foster a positive attitude, maintain effective communication, and meet the expectations of our guests.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and provide guidance and training to the serving team, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality service.
Assist with training staff on proper procedures for payments, voids, deletions, and cash-outs.
Work closely with the team to address guest concerns promptly and effectively.
Ensure dining outlets are properly set, clean, organized, and comply with health and safety standards.
Foster a team-oriented environment and maintain open communication with all staff members.
Complete mise en place and daily duties as required.
Be knowledgeable about menus, dietary restrictions, and allergens, and communicate these to the kitchen staff.
Adapt to the needs of large groups and banquet shifts, including function room set-up and tear-down.
Take food and beverage orders and ensure prompt delivery and quality of the product.
Present, open, pour, and serve wine in appropriate glassware.
Be knowledgeable about house cocktails and the CRMR wine program.
Run food to tables and bus tables in a fast-paced environment.
Perform any other duties as required or communicated by the F&B Managers.
EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of Squirrel POS system (asset).
Valid Serving It Right certification.
Ability to work all shifts (AM, PM, MID).
Substantial knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
Able to endure long periods of standing, sitting, bending, and lifting (up to 30 lbs).
