LEAD – Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

The Opportunity
The Lead – Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) role involves spearheading the implementation, configuration, and management of the HRIS and Pay module from inception to completion for a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

The incumbent will collaborate with HR, IT, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of the pay and HRIS module into the broader ERP system. This role is pivotal in enhancing payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting business goals and strategic HR initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to Project Lead – Systems Implementation, below are some key accountabilities:

Oversee the end-to-end implementation of the HRIS and Pay module within the ERP system, ensuring alignment with organizational needs, compliance with legislative requirements, adherence to timelines, and within budget constraints and quality standards.
Collaborate with HR and other departments to gather requirements, translating them into system specifications to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Design, configure, and customize HRIS and payroll functionalities within the ERP, setting up workflows, user roles, permissions, and reporting structures tailored to organizational needs.
Conduct thorough testing of HRIS and payroll solutions, including user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the system functions correctly and meets all specifications.
Evaluate existing HR processes, identify inefficiencies and improvement areas, and implement automation solutions to streamline operations.
Develop comprehensive training programs and materials, delivering both online and in-person sessions to ensure end-users are proficient in using the HRIS.
Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and facilitating change management strategies.
Generate and analyse reports to provide insights into HR metrics and performance, making data-driven recommendations to enhance HR strategy and decision-making
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HRIS or HR technology implementation, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
Proficiency in HRIS platforms (preferably Tier 1 ERPs) and project management tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Experience with cloud-based HR solutions and integrations is preferred.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Employment Terms and Benefits
In accordance with the terms of employment governing Management/PSP employees, this is a salaried, fulltime position, subject to a 6-month probationary period.
The salary range for this position is $67,367 - $100,039 based on experience.
The successful candidate will enjoy twenty paid vacation days and four personal days annually, extended medical and dental benefits, and participation in an employer-matched pension plan.
