THE PROPERTY:

Lake Louise Inn is a full-service hotel with 247 guest rooms and suites surrounded by soaring pines and sweeping mountain views, nestled among the snowy peaks of Banff National Park and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DETAILS:

Located in Lake Louise
Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
Full-time position, average of 40 hours per week
First 90 days: $21.75 per hour
After 90 days: $22.75 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:

Provides a comfortable and safe guest environment by maintaining equipment; completing preventive maintenance requirements; responding to emergencies; accommodating guests; preparing reports; managing staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs general plumbing tasks as needed to repair sinks, toilets, tub/showers
Responsible for maintaining and repairing all guest rooms and common areas
Repair and maintain hotel heating/ventilation system
Assist with repairs to and maintain kitchen, laundry, and pool/spa/fitness equipment/areas
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance checks throughout all areas of the hotel
Contribute to the hotel’s preparedness during fire and safety emergencies
Use both power and hand tools in a safe, efficient manner
Conduct mechanical rounds, water quality testing of pool and hot tubs as per requirements.
Available for shift work for after-hour calls, emergencies, weekends and holiday shifts.
Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong mechanical ability
Ability to multi task
Must be able to lift and carry 50-75 lbs
Ability to work safely in unsupervised environment
WORK CONDITIONS:

Continuous handling, gripping and reaching
Continuous walking, sitting and standing throughout a shift
Lifting of heavy materials, climbing, crawling, kneeling and bending throughout a shift
