Dishwasher

Position Details
Wage: $16.50 hr
Location: 1 Sunshine Village Access Road, Banff AB, T1L1J5
Hours: Full-time averaging around 40hrs/ week
Description
Dishwashers provide an outstanding experience for our guests by ensuring a sanitary and safe environment in our kitchens. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, dishes, pots, floors, and other kitchen surfaces as required. This is a physically demanding position that requires some manual labour, lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods of time.

Essential Functions
Following policies and standards of Marek Inc. as well as adhere to workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
Conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary
Fill in logs to ensure proper chemical levels with the equipment
Load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away
Maintain food handling and sanitation standards; understand and implement Marek Inc.’s Health & Safety Standards
Clean the fridge, freezer and other kitchen equipment as directed by the Chef Manager or Sous Chef
Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
Daily cleaning of the screens and weekly full empty of the grease trap to help maintain the equipment
Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
Experience/Requirements
Passion for providing outstanding guest service
1-2 years’ experience in a food service establishment
Self-motivator with a positive attitude
Ability to perform manual labour, heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
Excellent time management and teamwork skills
Safety and WHMIS training are an asset.
Knowledge of basic safety requirements and food handling safety standards
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift (10 kg), pull and push heavy loads and be exposed to extreme temperatures
This position includes a multi-area ski pass to Sunshine Village & other resorts, a staff event calendar for experiencing the Rockies, and subsidized transportation from Banff and Canmore to Sunshine.
