Sous Chef – Exclusive Boutique Hotel in Banff National Park

Winter and Summer Seasons 2026

Location: Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Nestled in the heart of the pristine wilderness, this boutique hotel offers an exceptional experience where luxury meets nature. Guests are surrounded by breathtaking vistas, luxurious accommodations, and treated each evening to a high-end 4-course dinner crafted by our talented culinary team. We are dedicated to delivering an unforgettable dining experience that reflects the magic of our Rocky Mountain setting.

Position: Sous Chef

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to work closely with our Head Chef in guiding the culinary program at our hotel. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and professionalism to the role, helping ensure our guests enjoy a dining experience that enhances their stay. You will support daily operations, help lead a small and dedicated kitchen team, and contribute to the high standards of excellence that we are known for.

You will also assist in providing healthy, creative meals for our staff of 24.

Roles and Responsibilities

Menu Execution:

Assist in executing seasonal, multi-course menus with precision and consistency. Oversee food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure each dish aligns with the quality of our brand’s guest experience.

Kitchen Cleanliness & Safety:
Maintain our high standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and organization. Ensure the kitchen environment is clean, efficient, and aligned with food safety regulations.

Leadership and Collaborative Mindset:

In the absence of the Head Chef, lead and mentor the kitchen team. Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment while upholding a culture of professionalism and care.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior culinary role, ideally in a fine-dining or resort environment.
Strong background in preparing and executing multi-course menus with an emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients.
Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail in both preparation and presentation.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire a team; strong leadership and communication abilities.
A genuine passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

$5100 per month for (9 months per year, as the hotel closes 3 month per year during shoulder seasons)
