SUMMARY:


We are looking for a results-driven IT Applications Director to lead and evolve our enterprise application landscape. In the first phase, you will focus on ensuring the stability, performance, and optimization of our legacy systems while building strong partnerships with business teams to enhance efficiency and streamline processes. You will manage both internal team and external technology partners to deliver reliable, business-aligned solutions.

As the company embarks on a major digital transformation, the IT Applications Director will play a central role in the design and implementation of a new integrated ERP / Large-scale system implementations project. Partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (Field Services, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Enterprise Tech…), this leader will help define business requirements and ensure the new systems are scalable, fully integrated, and aligned with strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background with business acumen and has a track record of delivering business value through technology. This is a pivotal role in one of the company's most important initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Understand the business process end to end and ensure support of existing Legacy systems like BASIS, AMCS, Great Plains, VERTEX, Samsara.
Work with the MSP to provide support and enhance/fix the current applications.
Manage the development team in understanding the business requirements and building key reports. Be the go between person between Management and the developers.
Ensure version control, upgrades and patching of the application and work with the IT Infrastructure team to implement the patches.
Evaluate and manage outsourced Application Managed Services (AMS) partnerships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and service quality.
Collaborate with business teams to understand pain points and drive continuous improvements.
Identify immediate process improvements by pinpointing manual or paper-based workflows that can be automated or enhanced with minimal investment.
Act as the technical advisor and subject matter expert for Application systems, providing guidance on emerging technologies.
Develop and execute the long-term Technology roadmap in partnership with Business teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Participate in implementations, administration, integrations, and optimizations for the new ERP project for all company functions.
Establish best practices for system governance, security, and compliance, working closely with stakeholders and executives.
Support change management efforts to drive system adoption and process standardization.
Provide executive reporting on progress, risks, and business outcomes of application initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, with experience blending finance/Fields services domain knowledge with technology delivery.
10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing enterprise applications.
Strong knowledge of business process flows, data flows, and system security best practices.
Experience managing AMS (Application Managed Services) providers and external consulting engagements.
Proven experience in leading or participating in ERP or large-scale system implementations project (Finances, Fields Services)
Experience in CRM, Scheduling, Routing, Optimization and rental/Lease business a plus
Experience driving change in fast-paced environments and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, using diplomacy to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration.
Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional project teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

A strategic thinker, hands-on leader and doer, able to balance short-term operational stability and long-term transformation goals to drive execution and deliver results.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management, from executives to technical teams.
Ability to meet with business leaders to understand their current processes and write detailed Business requirements documents including business Process flow diagrams (As-is and to-be), gap analysis, customization, data requirements, integration points, tests scenarios, reporting needs…
Project leadership and change management experience, ensuring adoption of new systems and processes.
Collaborative leadership style, building trust, accountability, and alignment across business and IT teams.
Knowledge of SQL and understanding of underlying table structure to extract data.
Knowledge of the following applications: Oracle Fusion, Acumatica, MS Dynamics a plus
Experience with agile principles, software development and testing methodologies (waterfall, Scrum, rapid prototyping, DevOps etc.).
Experience in Cloud platforms, Tools and Services (Azure, AWS, GCP), integrations platforms
