Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Health and Safety Advisor on a permanent basis on our Health, Safety & Compliance team.

This opportunity will require travel across Western Canada to complete site visits approximately 60% of the time and may work remotely when not on site.

What you’ll do:

Support the Manager, Health and Safety to develop and implement Safety Programs across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).
Conduct independent assessments at CRS locations based on site specific needs and make recommendations on health and safety training programs and workshops to achieve the desired results.
Provide guidance to team members and leaders in the training and administration of health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements for relevant authorities and regulatory agencies.
Support all FCL Business units, commodities, and local co-ops with Certificate of Recognition (COR) audits.

The Team: You will work closely with a team of Health and Safety Advisors and collaborate regularly with our local Co-ops. This role will report directly to the Manager, Health & Safety. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, trust and innovation.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) & Sustainability and :

Have 6-9 years of relevant experience in a health and safety position.
Have a two-year Diploma or Certificate in OHS and a Canadian Registered Safety Professional Certificate (CRSP) (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
