We’re seeking a Bar Manager to join us at The Bear Street Tavern! Banff's best pizza, as seen on You Gotta Eat Here. Our signature pizzas, sandwiches & cast iron specialties will satisfy any hungry Banff adventurer. Guests make themselves at home in a cozy booth and enjoy a beer, or a Bear sized cocktail and finish with a ridiculously good pizza. What You’ll Do:

Oversee and manage all areas of the bar and use your discretion to create and uphold bar procedures and policies, ensuring alignment with company standards and legislation
Sharing your knowledge is a must! You'll be training and coaching bartenders, and building server product knowledge
Lead by example. Working alongside the bartenders, focusing on hospitality and positivity
Manage inventory volumes to business levels, and ensure ordering, receiving, storing, and processing invoices are completed in a timely manner
Creates, trains and maintains a drinks menu that is well-suited to the food menu, that evolves seasonally and with trends, ensures a good guest experience and maximizes sales
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of the bar area
Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial /local laws, and ordinances
Maintain professional restaurant image, including bar cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards

What You Have:

Passion and knowledge of mixology, and how to make traditional cocktails and create new ones
Connecting with people and building trusting relationships comes easy to you
Understanding of the importance of communication and workplace culture
Collaborative working style and team focus
Ability to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Excellent communication skills
Flexible schedule required
Strong work ethic and a positive team player
Supervisory or management experience is considered an asset
Minimum of 1 year bartending experience required
ProServe certification required
