As a Water Services Operator you “Take Care of Banff” by ensuring the quality of our water and water systems is exceptional. As part of this team, you will get to know our town’s infrastructure … from the inside out! You will interact with residents, business owners and contractors who rely on the condition of that infrastructure and expect our water supply to be clean and safe.

You join a dedicated group of employees known to work hard and show passion and care for our environment through safe and diligent practices. We take pride in serving our community of 9,000 residents, with a tourist and seasonal population which can exceed 30,000.

The ideal applicant will possess certifications with Alberta Environment & Parks in the disciplines of Water Distribution, Water Treatment, Wastewater Collection, and Wastewater Treatment.

Ideally, you’ll possess a class 3Q Alberta driver’s license with air brake endorsement, have mechanical aptitude and experience in operating heavy and light equipment. Preference will be given to individuals with excavator and backhoe experience. Standard CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
