Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking a Carpenter Foreman for work at our project in Banff, AB

Schedule Rotation: Monday - Friday
Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirement
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and or roof systems
Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware
What We Are Looking For

Valid Journeyperson/Apprentice certificate in the trade of Carpentry
CSTS 2020
WHMIS 2015
Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
Experience in building renovations including access doors and hardware, cabinetry installation, demolition, and construction of steel stud and drywall interior walls
Must have at least 2 years of commercial experience
Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
