Job Description

Support seamless operations of the Fairmont Banff Springs by managing all incoming goods. The Receiving Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations by managing the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries. This position is responsible for verifying shipment accuracy, documenting deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized loading dock.

Starting Rate: $20.57 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.28.

Job Duties Include:

Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
Inspect all deliveries for quantity and quality, and note any damage and deficiency on the applicable waybill; Check off arriving items according to the invoice or packing slip provided. Ensure all Food Product arrived at adequate temperature and track accordingly.
Certify all incoming shipments have a Purchase Order.
Ensure accurate Receiving of all Purchase Orders in the Birchstreet Procurement System
Communicate with all Purchasing Managers regarding deliveries and ensure timely retrieval from the loading dock.
Keep loading dock Clean and Orgnaized.
Receive, document and deliver all Guest and Convention packages to the designated secure storage areas
Assist Food Stores in the organization and distribution of food items that have arrived.
Maintain excellent working relationships with internal purchasing managers, and outside vendors & truck drivers.
Constantly look for areas where operations can be improved and streamlined
Other duties as assigned
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Lifting up to 35 kg (77 lbs)
Pushing and pulling a cart of 200 kg (450 lbs)
Bending, standing, reaching, walking throughout the shift

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal English; great interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and email
Previous experience operating a motorized pallet jack is an asset
