Full job description
We are looking for a full time Maintenance Technician/Houseman. To work the hours of 3 p.m. -11 p.m. Thursday - Monday. This person will be responsible for repairs and cleanliness in the guest rooms, public areas, other areas of the hotel and hotel grounds, and our staff accommodation/rental units. WE OFFER SUBSIDIZED STAFF ACCOMMODATION WITH YOUR OWN PRIVATE BEDROOM.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper in all weather conditions.
Complete work order requests in an efficient manner.
Maintain all work areas in an orderly and clean condition.
Inspect and clean public areas daily for any issues.
Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas, and administrative offices.
Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door, and window repairs, vacuuming, mopping, dusting spill clean up and small laundry responsibilities.
Job Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English
Clear criminal record check
Minimum 1 year of previous maintenance (hotel experience an asset)
Training available, shared staff accommodation available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
