THE ROLE Thank you for your interest in joining our team as Room Attendant / Chute Runner. Duties Include (but are not limited to): Room Attendant Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors, Clean, dust, and disinfect all surfaces, Clean and wipe windows and walls, Replace used bed sheets and linen with fresh sets and remake beds, Pick up debris and empty trash containers, Restock the bedroom and washroom with fresh towels, toiletries, and other necessary items, Stock linen closets, Attend to guest requests, Handle and report lost and found items, Provide basic information on facilities, Maintain a clean and safe work environment, Other duties, as assigned Chute Runner Check the laundry chute at the parkade levels every hour, or more often if needed and bring towels and pillowcases to the laundry room. The last check should be done before the end of your shift. Sort pillowcases, dirty towels and extreme soiled items as needed, place in proper bins. Count dirty linen and record the linen on the sheet in laundry room, bring green bins of sheets and place in hallway outside laundry room at end of day Any leftover towels / pillowcases at the end of the day, place in green or white bin, place outside laundry room Help in laundry, loading / unloading machines, folding towels etc. Support House Attendant by bringing up sheets or towel rack if needed Support House Attendant with answering calls from Front Desk to deliver items to guest rooms, if needed, deliver in a timely manner Support House Attendants with answering calls from HK supervisors, if needed, deliver in a timely manner Support House attendants with putting away HK supplies to storeroom on delivery days Other duties, as assigned Ideal Candidate: Reliable and can commit to at least 6-12 months of employment, Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, Frequent pushing and pulling of 50+ pounds, Work independently without immediate supervision, And has good English language comprehension to understand instructions.
