About Us

At Rocky Mountain Food & Walking Tours, we create fun, authentic and memorable experiences through locally guided food and walking tours in the Canadian Rockies. As a family-run business based in beautiful Canmore, we’re passionate about connecting visitors with incredible local food, hidden gems, history, culture and community.

We are looking for an energetic, outgoing and creative team member to join us in a combined Tour Guide & Marketing Coordinator role.

Position Overview

This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who loves people, storytelling, tourism, social media and the Rockies lifestyle. The successful candidate will lead food and walking tours while also helping grow brand awareness through marketing, partnerships and content creation.

Social media & content creation
Community outreach & tourism partnerships
Sales & marketing support
Responsibilities

Tour Guiding

Lead 2-hour walking tours and 3-hour food tours in Banff and Canmore
Deliver engaging stories about local history, culture, food and hidden gems
Create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere for guests
Coordinate with restaurant partners during food tours
Ensure tours run smoothly, safely and on schedule
Provide exceptional customer service before, during and after tours
Take guest photos and encourage social media engagement
Handle guest questions and recommendations professionally
Marketing & Promotion

Create social media content for Instagram and Facebook
Help grow online presence and engagement
Build relationships with hotels, tourism businesses and local partners
Assist with flyer distribution and promotional campaigns
Help secure group bookings and referrals
Respond to inquiries and assist with bookings when needed
Qualifications

Friendly, outgoing and confident personality
Excellent communication and storytelling skills
Passion for tourism, food and the Rockies
Comfortable speaking to groups
Strong social media knowledge (Instagram, Facebook)
Basic photography/video editing skills are an asset
Reliable, organized and self-motivated
Ability to walk outdoors for extended periods in varying weather
Customer service or hospitality experience preferred
