Position Summary

Custodians play a key role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces, offices, and washrooms, while also assisting guests with inquiries. Custodians work closely with their team under the direction of the Assistant Supervisor and report directly to the Supervisor. This role involves physical work, including lifting and carrying, and requires adaptability to a variety of alpine weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional guest service by being approachable, friendly, and helpful.
Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, offices, and public spaces, including floors and high-traffic areas.
Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling efficiently.
Provide guests with accurate information about the mountain and its operations.
Assist with monitoring and organizing cleaning supply inventory.
Report maintenance or repair needs to the Supervisor promptly.
Work at multiple locations across the mountain, including alpine areas with variable weather (rain, snow, cold, heat).
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Commitment to providing excellent guest service.
Previous professional cleaning experience (asset).
Basic repair or maintenance experience (asset).
Positive, energetic, and self-motivated attitude.
Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
Detail-oriented with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand, squat, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to use hand tools when required.
Must be reliable, exercise good judgment, and report fit for duty.
Comfortable working independently in a remote, alpine environment.
This position is subject to the policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, HR Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
