Description

The Custodial Assistant Supervisor provides an outstanding guest and staff experience by leading the Custodial Team and performing general maintenance in and around the base Area Buildings. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining public and office areas including washrooms as well as answering guest queries. The Assistant Supervisor works closely with other team members, being a leader to the team and reports directly to the Supervisor. This is a physical position requiring manual labour, lifting, and carrying.

Job Functions

Provide excellent guest service.
Active participation in custodial duties; maintaining overall cleanliness of washrooms, floors of public and office spaces throughout the base area buildings.
Efficient removal of garbage and recycling.
Willing and able to answer questions about the mountains and operations.
Assist the Supervisor in regular inspections, and auditing
Assist in improving team performance and fostering a positive work environment
Assist with managing inventory of cleaning supplies.
Leading the Custodial Team and assisting with scheduling.
Assist the Supervisor in all operational matters.
Performing general maintenance duties such as; touch ups, assembling shelving units/furniture, fixing existing fittings and notifying the supervisor regarding the need for additional repairs.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements

Must be over age of 21 upon commencement of position to meet insurance requirements. Additional insurance requirements include providing a clean driver’s abstract and proof of an Alberta Drivers’ License (within 90 days of becoming an Alberta resident). Please note: any fees for obtaining an Alberta Driver’s license are incurred by the applicant.
Effectively communicate and comprehend detailed instructions in English.
Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
Previous cleaning experience in a professional cleaning environment is considered an asset.
Previous experience in a trade (e.g. plumbing/carpentry) considered an asset.
Energetic, self-motivated and positive attitude.
Excellent time management, problem, solving and team work skills.
Attention to detail with the flexibility to shift focus based on need.
Additional Considerations

Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position requires the ability to stand, squat, bend, and lift for long periods of time.
This role may operate hand tools.
Custodians work in a remote, alpine environment, and at times independently.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Employee Handbook, the HR Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
