Customer Service Agent - On-It Regional Transit

SOUTHLAND is currently hiring a Customer Service Agent for seasonal work between May 16 - October 13, 2025. Shifts fall Friday, Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays between 3:00 pm and 8:30 pm.

The successful candidate will work approximately 15 hours per week at an hourly rate of $18.00. Customer Service Agents are required to work outside.

Knowledge and Skills Required

Good communicator – fluency in reading, writing and speaking English
Ability to speak a second language preferred
Confident, pleasant and welcoming disposition
Previous experience in a customer facing / customer service position
Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work on own initiative
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Answer customer’s questions about schedules, routes and timings
Deal with public, customer and staff inquiries in a professional manner and find diplomatic solutions to address concerns
Liaise with Supervisor, drivers and other CSA’s to ensure a smooth and trouble free operation
Monitor Betterez App to ensure functionality and performance
Provide information to the Supervisor to enable them to make decisions regarding service, load levels and service changes
Compile data on passenger numbers for each trip
Manage and log lost property items
Ensure operating procedures are adhered to
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Experienced working in a customer service environment
Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
