Job Description

Support seamless operations of the Fairmont Banff Springs by managing all incoming goods. The Receiving Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations by managing the receipt and inspection of all incoming deliveries. This position is responsible for verifying shipment accuracy, documenting deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized loading dock.

Starting Rate: $21.29 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.16.

Job Duties Include:

Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining strong relationships with purchasing managers, vendors, and delivery drivers.
Accurately inspect, document, and track all incoming deliveries, ensuring quality, quantity, and temperature requirements are met; report any issues on waybills.
Verify all shipments have valid Purchase Orders and receive them accurately in the Birchstreet Procurement System.
Keep the loading dock clean and organized, and coordinate timely pickup of items with relevant departments.
Handle guest and convention package delivery, support Food Stores with distribution, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal English; great interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and email Knowledge of food and beverage products
Previous warehouse experience an asset
Knowledge of Birch Street (Inventory Software)
Previous experience operating a motorized pallet jack is an asset
