Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing information and engaging with diverse groups of people. As a Tour Guide, you will lead visitors through various attractions, providing insightful commentary and ensuring an enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to educate and entertain guests while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Duties

Conduct guided tours for individuals or groups, showcasing key points of interest and sharing relevant historical or cultural information.
Engage with guests by answering questions and facilitating discussions to enhance their understanding of the tour subject matter.
Work in the Banff National Park area.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during tours, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Manage time effectively to keep tours on schedule while allowing for guest interaction and exploration.
Collaborate with team members to develop new tour routes or enhance existing ones based on guest feedback and interests.
Maintain knowledge of local attractions, history, culture, and current events to provide accurate and engaging information.
Skills

Must have a class 1, 2 or 4 driver license.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and engagingly.
Fluent English is required, Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable, enhancing the experience for non-English speaking guests.
Excellent time management skills to ensure tours run smoothly and efficiently.
Proficient in public speaking, comfortable addressing both small groups and larger audiences.
A passion for educating others about local history, culture, or natural features.
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in guests while fostering a positive group dynamic.
Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and valued throughout their experience.
