Summer incentive bonus: Receive $2 an hour on top of every regular hour worked between May 22 - Oct 9 (conditions apply) DETAILS Located in Lake Louise, Alberta Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants Full-time position, average of 40 hours per week While performing Maintenance Technician Level 1 duties: First 90 days: $23.75 While performing Maintenance Technician Level 1 duties: After 90 days: $25.75 While PerformingGrounds Person duties: First 90 days: $21.30 While Performing Grounds Person duties:After 90 days: $23.30 Overview: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Level 1 Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance tasks, preventive upkeep, and minor repairs to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities. This role is also responsible for relief Grounds Person duties two days a week. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Address repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry under supervision. Respond to guest service requests for maintenance issues. Assist Level 2 technicians and other maintenance staff in complex repairs and projects. Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance work areas. Assist with maintaining the property's grounds by removing garbage, leaves, snow, ice and other debris around the premises. Maintain walkways and pathways around the property. Maintain flowers and other landscaping. Follow all safety protocols and report hazards to supervisors. Qualifications & Requirements: Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and tools. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience or experience in a related field. High school diploma or equivalent. Progression & Evaluation Technicians may be promoted from Level 1 to Level 2 based on demonstrated skills, experience, staffing needs and supervisor recommendations. Performance evaluations will be conducted regularly to assess competencies and readiness for advancement. Additional training and certifications may be required for progression to Level 2. Please note, only candidates who are legally authorized to work in Canada will be considered for this role.
