Full job description
Banff Trail Riders is located in the townsite of Banff, offering guided horseback tours from 1 hour to 6 days. We are a very active tourist business with several components that make up the overall company. Because of the diversity of the company, we can offer a great variety of products to our visitors, as well as a variety of job opportunities.

Whether you are craving a summer of adventure, are looking to improve your horsemanship skills or a combination of both while making life long friends and memories, Banff Trail Riders is the place for you!

Guest Service Personnel are based at our Stables, located West of the Banff townsite. This role requires you to greet guests as they arrive for their rides, take payments, fit helmets, and ensure all guests are checked in prior to their departure time. The ability to be personable and navigate conflict resolution is key and requires individuals to demonstrate initiative and independence to ensure both staff and customers are satisfied.

This position will require you to:

Greet and check in guests at stables.
Make bookings and provide information on tours.
Handle cash/credit transactions. Completing Pre-Authorizations.
Ensure ride departure times are kept to schedule.
Completing daily cash outs.
Cleaning and upkeep of office and guest areas.
General barn chores and duties as required.
Qualifications:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with others and independently.
An interest in the Western lifestyle.
Customer service experience.
Previous cash handling experience.
Valid First Aid required
Knowledge of horses an asset, but not required. Riding experience not required. (Must be confident and comfortable around horses)
This position is ideal for those with minimal (or zero) riding experience who would like to further their knowledge of horses and riding. This is not a riding position.
