What will you do in this job?:
The Staff Housing Attendant has the essential role of creating a clean and enjoyable environment for our team members. Reporting to the Housing Supervisor, this requires an individual who is self-motivated, organized, and passionate about creating the best possible experience for our team members living in housing.
Complete room inspections after move-outs to ensure cleanliness
Assist the housing team with bi-monthly inspections
Clean and prepare any rooms that do not meet established standards for move ins
Pick up debris and empty trash containers
Clean public areas as required (such as kitchens and bathrooms)
Report and store lost and found items
Ensure furniture in the units is properly placed
Communicate room statuses with the housing team and submit any necessary work orders to maintenance
Arrange for monthly common area clear outs
Conduct deep cleaning tasks and special projects (i.e. building furniture)
Post any People & Culture communications in the staff accommodation as required
Meet and greet new team members as instructed by the housing team
Notify the housing team of deficiencies or needs for repairs (light bulb changing, etc.)
Follow all health and safety regulations
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
At least one year of housekeeping experience is preferred
A valid Alberta driver’s license
Positive, self-motivated, and passionate in creating the best possible team member experience
Must have strong English communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Able to work with minimal supervision
