Welcome to the Canadian Rockies!

We at Banff International Hostel are looking for a new team member to join us adventuring in the mountains. For us, the ideal applicant would be someone who is lively, responsible, outgoing and likes to socialize with guests on a daily basis.

This position will be a mix of both Front Desk and Housekeeping.

Front Desk Responsibilities:

Greeting guests upon arrival
Register guests and assign rooms
Take, cancel, and change room reservations
Balance cash/cards at end of shift
Provide information on local points of interest
Perform related Front Desk duties as directed by Supervisor
Housekeeping Responsibilities:

Making beds
Cleaning bathrooms
Dusting and vacuuming
Cleaning common areas (kitchen, common room, dining area, reception)
Laundry duties
General upkeep and cleanness of our beautiful hostel
Skills:

Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
Knowledge of office management
Proficient in English (oral and written)
Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
Strong time management skills
Strong communication and people skills
Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Problem-solving skills Customer service orientation
Full training will be provided, but having experience in customer services is an asset.

Staff accommodation is available
