We're seeking an Onsite Events Manager to join us at Banff Hospitality Collective. Banff Hospitality Collective or as we like to call it ‘BHC’, is a multi-concept restaurant and entertainment company with 15 venues and counting. Onsite Events Manager

Working closely with the Group Sales and Restaurant Operations Department, the Onsite Events Manager is responsible for the execution and success of group events by being the point of contact for both the client and the venue staff. Event bookings include wedding, social and corporate groups.

What You'll Do:

Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labour costs
Responsible for ensuring that all financial and administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and following company policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/provincial /local laws, and ordinances
Maintain professional image, including venue cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
Deeply understand, and have a strong commitment to the brand, constantly delivering and getting others to deliver the brand promise
While you’re very focused on ensuring outstanding client service, responding to complaints, and taking appropriate action – you also recognize the importance of employee experience and building a strong team culture
You’ll lead by example, having a strong floor presence, while managing the flow of service to ensure event timing is fulfilled
Prepare for and attend weekly, monthly, quarterly, and six-month planning meetings
Prepare the final client invoice with itemized charges and deposits accounted for
Meet on-site vendors and provide access for early event setup
Erect floor plan according to BEO, and set up additional furniture and decor as instructed
What You Have:

Competent with all Microsoft Office programs, administrative systems and departmental event software.
Strong written skills, and ability to communicate professionally with clients.
You don't shy away from working with various types of technology and systems, including the ability to troubleshoot, update, and train others on the use of such systems
You need to not only be an amazing team player but also have a knack for bringing others together to work towards a common goal
Connecting with people and building trusting relationships comes easily to you
Collaborative working style and team focus
Willing to take a step back to look at things from other perspectives and be open to a different way
Ability to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Flexible schedule required
ProServe certification required
2 years of experience in the food and beverage or events industry is preferred
