The Opportunity Banff Centre is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Bell Desk Attendant to ensure a memorable stay for our visiting guests. Motivated and customer-service oriented, you will maintain the organization of guest's luggage and belongings to and from guest rooms, providing storage if required, while ensuring the lobby is kept clean at all times. Roles and Responsibilities Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, below are some key responsibilities: Assist with guest with transportation needs, storage of luggage, communicating housekeeping requests etc. Provide guests with local information - including Banff Centre events and dining recommendations. Maintain cleanliness/tidiness of lobby. Pick-up and delivery of guest laundry. Show guest rooms, assist guests to and from rooms as required, and keep track of mobility issues. Maintain a fire in the lobby lounge fireplace on colder mountain days. Maintain a presence in the lobby to be able to help guests and answer questions. Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of the Guest Services vehicle. Qualification and Educational Requirements Previous customer service experience and a strong desire to assist people and to provide quality experiences. Strong organizational and time management skills. Professional presentation and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag at all times. Special Requirements Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule and weekends. Physical stamina and the ability to move heavy equipment is required. This position requires a valid license to drive in Alberta. Employment Terms & Benefits In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, hourly support staff position, subject to a 500 hour probationary period. This position pays $18.64 per hour working up to 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
