Full job description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our commercial laundry plant. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and develop maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
Collaborate with production staff to identify maintenance needs and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance projects as needed.
Assist the laundry and wash bay operations as required when not repairing and maintain equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar field
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals
Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
