Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated health care aide to provide exceptional care and support to an individual currently residing in their home in Banff, Alberta. Only candidates residing in Banff and within commuting distances are encouraged to apply.

As a care aide, you will play a vital role in assisting our client with daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:

- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Assist with mobility and transfers

- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals

- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior

- Prepare meals and assist with feeding

- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry

- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations

- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings

Experience:

- Previous experience in senior care, dementia care, or related fields is preferred

- Ability to perform heavy lifting, if required

- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions

- Familiarity with patient care procedures and protocols

- Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals in nursing homes, home care, or hospice care settings

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
