Job duties:

Reporting to the Director of Finance Resorts, the primary responsibilities are:

Preparation of monthly journal, closing entries, deadlines and schedules.
To assist with reconcile and monitor all balance sheet accounts according to the policy for all resort related databases.
Assist with monthly forecast preparation for all resort databases.
Monthly preparation of daily reporting templates
To assist with preparation of KPI reporting weekly such as cashflow
Assist DOF with external auditors for annual audit/review engagements
Assist in the hiring, training, development, and motivation of accounting staff in both accounting departments
To be familiar with all resort operating systems and software including Financials System (AccPac), PMS (Opera, MSI), POS (Maitre’d, RTP), Excel.
To maintain good working relations with colleagues and other departments.
To conduct employee performance interviews.
Key communicator between the Accounting department and other key departments such as Front Office, Spa and Food and Beverage
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

Accounting designation or enrollment in a recognized Accounting Program.
Previous accounting experience at a supervisory/managerial level (Minimum 2 years preferred).
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Familiarity with Financial Systems (AccPac), Opera, MSI, POS (Micros), and Excel.
Hospitality industry experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, requesting clarification as needed
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work as part of a team and build professional relationships
Able to work effectively within designated timeline
Able to work with minimal supervision
