Job Description

Golf Guest Service Attendant

The Golf Course Guest Service Attendant will be responsible to provide engaging service to our guest throughout their experience. Attendant’s will be responsible for Range duties and cleanliness. Attendants will work within Fairmont’s Values; follow operational standards and positional service essentials in carrying out their daily tasks. Attendants will be a part of a positive and professional work environment aimed at turning moments into memories for our guests.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Golf Operations Assistant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Be the personality who greets and guides the guest upon their arriving experience at the golf course
Communicate to each guest an orientation of the facility, such as the pro shop, dining room, snack bar, driving range, and practice facility
Handle equipment and provide instructions for check in and pre round preparations, provide guests with rental equipment and power carts as required.
Be accountable to the rental fleets programs ensuring each set of clubs and golf cart are in proper working order.
Assist Retail during busy times with rental requests and cleaning
Assist in the preparation for golf tournaments, execution and tear down
Ensure the cleanliness of all areas is maintained to the standards set forth
Aid the golfing guest with their practice facility experience
Ensuring that the guest is at the appropriate first tee 10 minutes prior to their tee time.
Completing routine checks of the driving range and practice facility to ensure the areas have the appropriate par stocks of range balls, bunkers are raked, and areas are clean and free of debris
Operate the range picker machine as required throughout the shift to ensure adequate amount of range balls are picked, cleaned and restocked based on business volume.
Greeting and interacting with golfers at the driving range and practice facility and anticipating their needs by offering a hitting area and adequate supply of range balls
All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

High School diploma
Golf knowledge is a key asset
Class 5 Drivers License and updated drivers abstract
Previous experience in a guest services role
Proficient in computer skills
Able to work flexible hours (early morning, evening and occasional split shifts)
Ability to deal with high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated and guest driven with a proven ability to solve problems and make timely guest service decisions
Demonstrated exceptional guest service with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate needs
Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Lifting Required: (50 lbs.): Golf bags, boxes of bottled water, crates of golf balls etc
Repetitive Tasks/Movements: Standing/walking for extended periods
