Fairmont Gold Supervisor (Luxury Front Desk/Concierge)

Fairmont Gold at Fairmont Banff Springs is a “hotel within a hotel”. With 111 newly renovated guest rooms and a 3000 sq. foot lounge, Fairmont Gold offers the highest level of guest service.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $22.76 per hour. Full rate after one year is $24.80 per hour.

What you will be doing:

Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipated service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests by providing a personalized curated guest experience.
Must be able to perform all front desk duties including but not limited to accurately post all charges, assist with check in/out procedures, auditing and reporting.
Review all Fairmont Gold reservations ensuring accuracy, and that all standards are met.
Provide exceptional concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events, tickets, and other available services/excursions
Must be available for shift work including weekends, mornings, and evenings.
Ensure the arrival and departure experience of all guests is seamless through coordination of our market mix and VIP's
Empower colleagues to appease any guest service challenges and ensure all guest issues are tracked and followed up on to ensure service recovery
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 1 years previous Front Desk supervisory experience in a Large Hotel preferred

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Excellent knowledge of Micros-Opera PROPERTY Manager, word and excel

Previous working experience in Royal Service and or dealing with guest recovery with excellent recovery

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program an asset

Highly organized, innovative and results-orientated with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast paced, changing environment

Excellent written and verbal skills with a high attention to detail required

Solutions-orientated, strong interpersonal skills and problem solving techniques

Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Constant sitting, standing and walking throughout shift

On occasion must be physically able to lift guest luggage and assist to guest room

Candidates must be legal to serve alcohol in Alberta (18 years of age) and must possess ProServe certification
