Job Description

Food & Beverage Assistant Manager

The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager will ensure that employees provide phenomenal guest experiences resulting in lasting memories. They will lead, develop and coach a team of professional employees to enhance the level of service and meet standards.

What you will be doing:

Provide on-the-floor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure standards are being maintained
Be involved with ongoing menu/wine/cocktail development
Have a good understanding of day-to-day expectations, tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming events
Review guest comments, respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashion
Understand both the restaurant’s and the hotel’s financial goals to achieve superior long-term financial returns to our shareholders
Ensure that service essentials, steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the team
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Must have 1 year previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in upscale environment. airlines VIP lounge or executive lounge experience will be considered an asset
Must have pro-serve certification and POS system experience
Wine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an asset
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset
A passion for food & wine
Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
