Job Description: The Banff Aspen Lodge is in search of a Full Time Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the exterior of the hotel and its guest’s rooms, HVAC systems, and hot tub area to ensure that they are operating in an efficient manner based on organized routines and that guests receive the highest quality of service and attention. Daily duties include preventative maintenance, ensuring all malfunctioning equipment is identified and repaired in a timely manner, responsible for safety and security of hotel and staff housing and performing seasonal maintenance around the hotel.

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to speak, write and read English is required, additional languages is an asset

· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

· Valid AB driver’s license with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

· High attention to detail

· Ability to do physical work

· Capable of working in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

· Strong problem solving abilities

· First Aid and WHMIS training an asset

· Prior maintenance experience an asset

Other Information:

· Full Time Permanent Position

· Review after 3 months and a 90 day probationary period

· Hours per Week: 40 hours – on call 3 evenings a week

· Staff housing: Subject to availability
