Scope
The Tour & Travel Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting high-yield clients and for developing and maintaining client relationships in the Tour and Travel Market. They will respond to questions, prepare and present proposals, conduct site inspections, engage in negotiations, and prepare contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain current knowledge of market trends and The Rimrock’s competition.
Prospect for appropriate new business, develop and maintain relationships with current clients through follow-up calls, networking sales trips, and sharing of hotel promotions.
Make prospect calls via telephone and email for accounts in assigned market areas.
Negotiate contract terms with clients to achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
Coordinate all Tour & FIT bookings and oversee their progress throughout the Tour Season.
Schedule and conduct Hotel site inspections.
Travel for and participate in sales trips, trade shows, conferences, and other industry-related events.
Plan and report on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales activity goals, room nights, and revenue quotas.
Prepare yearly sales and marketing plan and budget.
Attend weekly sales meetings and communications meetings.
Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Post-secondary education in business is an asset
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Sales Manager position
Strong computer skills with competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates high attention to detail
Self-directed and efficient with excellent time management skills
Excellent organizing skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Capable of working effectively while under pressure
