A Bartender at Fairmont Banff Springs is responsible for the development and creation of all specialty drinks. Our Bartenders take pride in each drink that leaves their bar; with a critical eye for detail, extensive beverage knowledge, and a flare for showmanship, the bartender provides a libation experience, unparalleled.

What you will be doing:
Complete Daily Operations (i.e. opening and closing duties, stocking, polishing, cleaning and maintaining bar area, walk-ins, fridges and other areas as assigned by the MOD)
Maintaining and developing an extensive product knowledge of menu items, beverage offerings and outlet operations; extensive knowledge of classic cocktails and ability to learn outlet specific beverages including a variety of barista drinks (e.g. cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolates, etc)
Meet and greet guests and coordinate with other colleagues and MOD regarding preferences, allergies and special occasions
Ordering and monitoring inventory (i.e. daily orders, managing par levels, recording wastage/spillage/transfers, monthly inventory counts)
Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures
Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:
Must have 2+ years professional cocktail experience as a bartender in a high-volume and fast paced environment
Must have Pro-Serve Certification
Previous point-of-sale system experience essential
Extensive knowledge of wine, beer and spirits required
Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
Must be able to lift and carry up to 80+lbs (keg) and be able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
